House League Vs. Travel League Youth Hockey

Do you have a child who is interested in playing hockey? Below are 2 leagues Park County Youth Hockey Association (PCYHA) offers.

You can register for both of these leagues on our home page. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

House League: A great way to try hockey without committing to a whole season.

Practice one night a week for 45 minutes with 15 minutes of game time. This program does not require travel time or hotel expenses House league is considered more recreational or for beginners who are deciding whether or not they want to pursue hockey. PCYHA house league is open to ages 5-9 years. The program is designed to have the players moving, skating, touching pucks, playing games and enjoying the game. Understanding how young players think is the key to maximizing their ice time with fun and challenging drills. Skills stations will best help them achieve basic and fine-tuned motor skills. Our main focus is to create an atmosphere of learning the game in a fun and positive setting.

Travel League: A great way to play at a more competitive level and create wonderful memories.

This program requires more weekly practices plus games and various tournaments within our league. Travel is considered by families who have players who are more of the competitive nature and would like to travel. Our mission as an organization is to provide youth hockey players with the facility, coaches, and resources to grow in their game and the opportunity to move on to higher levels of hockey.

Fees for both leagues can be found on our home page. Both leagues require registration with USA Hockey. USA Hockey registration is good for one year.
