Sponsor-a-Kid program offers first year skaters the opportunity to try hockey. Registration fees are paid by a sponsor; rental equipment is available for a $40/year fee. To be eligible for the program, a skater must be in his or her first year of hockey. Players will be placed in the appropriate age division based on USA Hockey age guidelines.

The sponsored player has the obligation to thank his or her sponsor, maintain the equipment in good condition (normal wear and tear excepted), and conduct his or her actions according to USA Hockey Code of Conduct. Parents of the sponsored player are responsible for providing a mouthguard, a hockey stick, hockey tape, and a cup/Johnny guard. (All of these items are available at the Riley Arena Pro Shop for about $25 total.)

The following rental gear is available for players: helmets, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards, breezers (hockey pants), gloves, garter, practice jerseys and socks, hockey bag, and skates.

All applications will be submitted to the Park County Youth Hockey Association Board of Directors for approval. Funds will be disbursed on a first-come first serve basis, so it is in your best interest to be early!
