Registrar

The primary role of the Registrar is to ensure that all players are fully registered and formed into teams in accordance with USA Hockey regulations. A secondary role of the Registrar is to provide current contact information to members of PCYHA to facilitate communication and to provide a current official roster to each coach. The Registrar will use the following strategies to fulfill these roles:

• Pre-register players in the spring to obtain a contact database for upcoming season. Pre-registered players are passed on to the Board of Directors for forecasting and planning purposes.
• Collect completed Individual Membership Record (IMRs), Code of Conduct, Consent to Treat and birth certificates for all players.
• Registration dues and funds collected from players are recorded.
• Per instruction from the Board of Directors, coaches and players will be assigned to teams.
• Each head coach is given a binder with parent contact information, copies of completed IMRs, Codes of Conduct, Consent to Treat and Birth Certificates for all players registered on the team. Also included is the team’s official roster.
• Keep USA Hockey’s past two years’ records (IMRs, Consent to Treats, and Code of Conducts)
• Register players with IMRs or direct players in the use of on-line registration. USA Hockey will send a Cyber Hockey CD ROM in late July. It will contain use instructions and updated forms.
• Transmit information to USA Hockey via disk or instructions found in the Cyber Hockey package.
• Double-roster players when directed in writing from the Board of Directors.

Organizationally, the Registrar is required to attend monthly Executive Meetings but not Board of Director meetings. The Registrar is an acting Officer of PCYHA elected by the membership in the spring to a 1 year term.
